Orange Soda birthday card

Hello!

We only have today and tomorrow to take advantage of the 2018 Sale-A-Bration offerings so don't wait any longer!

I made a fun birthday card with the Designer Series Paper Bubbles and Fizz that you can only get for FREE with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration.

One of the sheets has these cute drink bottle designs so I decided to fussy cut one of the Calypso Coral bottles and make a little Orange Soda birthday card.

The sentiment and bubbles around the circle are stamps from the Eclectic Expressions stamp set that is also an exclusive 2018 SAB offering. I stamped the bubbles in Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, and Lemon Lime Twist inks. Then I topped some of the bubbles with the Glitter Epoxy Shapes and added a couple of epoxy drops to the bottle itself. Then I added Wink of Stella and Fine Tip Glue to the heart on the bottle.

And that's it! Don't forget to take advantage of the FREE Sale-A-Bration products before they're gone tomorrow night at 11:59!

Another thing that goes away tomorrow night at 11:59 is the March Hostess Code so place your order before then to receive my thank you gift!

Thank you for visiting and make it a great and crafty day!

Sale-A-Bration card with video!

Hello!

I've been talking to myself and my husband a lot about this the last year and I finally did it! I made an official Youtube video of me making a card! I had almost given up on the idea and then my sweet Superman made me a camera stand and gave it to me for Christmas. I just love him.

I used the Amazing You stamp set that you can only get for FREE until this Saturday night, March 31 at 11:59 pm so don't miss out!

My favorite technique is emboss resist so I used that technique with some watercoloring. I love how this card turned out!

The black and white background piece is the Brushstrokes Background stamp. It adds more watercolor texture but also grounds the rainbow panel. You'll notice in the video I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig instead of the Stamparatus. That's because my Stamparatus hadn't arrived yet. But I still do pull out the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig sometimes.

The little Brights and Subtles Enamel Shapes plus the Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine add a great finishing touch to this artsy card.

Here's the video in case you didn't see it. :)

And that's it! Have you ever tried the emboss resist technique? Tell me in the comments!

Thanks for visiting and make it a great and crafty day!

Rainbow Love with Stampin' Up! products

Hello!

I've been obsessed with rainbow paper crafting lately. Give me lots of color on a neutral card background and I swoon. If I haven't mentioned this before (but I think I have, lol), sometimes card ideas come to my brain as I'm drifting off to sleep. Does that happen to you? I have yet to make myself wake up enough to jot them down. But if I'm lucky enough to remember them the next morning, I make a quick sketch and write a few notes so that when I have time to sit and create I can!

Enter this rainbow card:

If I also haven't mentioned, clean and simple cards appeal to me the most and I think this fits the bill. I used the heart die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits die set on 1/2" Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay, and Fresh Fig card stock strips. You can see the die here:

After I adhered the strips to a Thick Whisper White panel, I attached it to a Thick Whisper White card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Then I took a length of Basic Black Metallic Thread around my fingers several times and tacked it to the card front. The sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and after I stamped it, I die cut a stitched circle and placed it over the thread with more Stampin' Dimensionals.

Because I had so many little hearts from die cutting, I took one of the Melon Mambo hearts and painted some Wink of Stella over top. Then I covered it in the Fine Tip Glue and let it dry. Look and sparkly and shiny it is!

And that's it! Leave me a comment telling me whether you love the rainbow craze or you could do without it. I won't be mad if you don't like rainbow paper crafting. ;) But I hope you do, too.

Don't forget that if you use March's Hostess Code and spend $30, I'll send you a thank you gift. If you spend $50, you'll get to choose a FREE Sale-A-Bration item PLUS my thank you gift. I so appreciate you supporting my business!

Here's a Tuesday Tidbit I came across that made me happy that I'm a crafter.

Sale-A-Bration is Almost Over!

Hello!

There's only about 3 weeks left of Sale-A-Bration 2018.  Did you earn what you wanted to yet? If no, there's still time! One of my favorites from this year's SAB is the cute Party Pandas stamp set.

These simple images make cute cards in a snap! And when you pair them with the Stampin' Blends, it brings those cute little guys to life and adds great dimension!

Here's a card I made with them recently.

I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen (138309) to add dimension to the hat, balloon, and envelope.  My glue was giving me a little bit of a fit on the balloon but it still looks cool.  It just adds to the handmade look.  And that's the point of making our own cards, isn't it? So embrace the imperfections because they make our cards unique and wonderful!

I used my light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends (145054) to give my pandas shadow and dimension.  Light and dark Cherry Cobbler (144598) and light and dark Pool Party Blends (144605) were used for the other accents.

Here's another one of my favorite SAB stamp sets in action:

That's it for today! I LOVE Sale-A-Bration.  It's one of my favorite times of the Stampin' Up! year!

There's still time to earn free Sale-A-Bration products and I would so appreciate your business.  I try to send at least a handmade card to everyone who orders through my online store and I'm trying to come up with a rewards program for my loyal customers. That's a work in progress :)  But for now, if you spend at least $30 this month using the March Hostess Code at the top of my blog, I'll send you a gift as my way of saying thank you!

Thank you so much for visiting me today.  Make it a great and crafty day!

March Stampin 'N Hop Blog Hop

Hello!

Welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop! I'm Rebecca and I call Utah (US) home. This month we are featuring product from the second Sale-A-Bration offering. I chose Eclectic Expressions because that was the stamp set that first jumped out at me when I saw the new releases. I love the elements and sentiments.

I didn't have a particular card design in mind when I created this card other than I wanted to do an emboss resist technique with White Stampin' Emboss Powder (109132). My favorite technique!

The ink colors I used were Tranquil Tide (144085), Bermuda Bay (131171), Wild Wasabi (126959), and Lemon Lime Twist (144086) with a little bit of black thrown in for good measure.

Once I stamped all the images, I couldn't see the greeting very well so I decided to stamp it again in Black Archival ink (140931). I offset the second stamping a little so there was a slight white shadow. I think it turned out so cool!

Then I added more stamping and some Lemon Lime Twist sequins from the Tutti Frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack (145609).

And that's it! This card could totally be masculine or feminine. I love when that happens!

Thanks for visiting me today. Make today a great and crafty day! Have fun hopping!

Weather Together with lots of texture

Hello!

I'm popping in today to share a fun card.  Sometimes I get my best ideas as I'm falling asleep at night and this was one of them!

I did a quick watercolor wash with some Smoky Slate ink (131179). I opened my embossing paste (141979) and it had dried out some.  Tip: If that happens to you, just add a few drops of water, let it sit for a few minutes then stir.  Add a few more drops of water at a time until it gets back to the consistency it's supposed to be.

Anyway, I just decided to use it dry because I knew I would get awesome texture for my clouds which I made using the cloud stencil (144103). And I was right! See?

Before the clouds completely dried, I sprinkled some silver stampin' glitter (133756) on them to give them a little sparkle.  Then I stamped the raindrops and added some clear raindrop epoxy shapes (145632).

I love how bright the umbrella looks agains the gray sky.  Just how I pictured it in my head.  I used my Stampin' Blends (147475), of course ;), to color the umbrella. The sentiment goes perfectly with that happy umbrella.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed seeing this card as much as I did making it!

I would love it if you would visit my online store.  If you use the March Hostess Code at the top of my blog and place at least a $30 order, I'll send you a gift as my way of saying thank you!

Thanks for visiting me today.  Make it a great and crafty day!

Work of Art by Stampin' Up!

Hello!

Once upon a time (several years ago), I attended my first Stampin' Up! event.  It was held in a local movie theater.  I was SO excited to be able to see new product before it even came out.  And while I didn't win any Prize Patrols that day, everyone received the Work of Art stamp set.  I've played with it here and there since but it mostly just sits on my shelf.

Well it jumped out at me this week and I pulled it out again.  I found a new love for this set! I've been obsessed with watching paint pour videos.  Look it up.  It's a thing and it's so fascinating! Anyway, I decided to make my own abstract art and turn it into cards.  To get a little creative jumpstart, I just searched for "abstract art" in my search engine and up popped loads of inspiration!  Here's my first creation.

The colors I used were Powder Pink (144084), Tranquil Tide (144085), Lemon Lime Twist (144086), Pool Party (126982), and Calypso Coral (126983).  Some of the stamps I inked up fully and some I inked up partially to get different looks. This makes me want to experiment some more and maybe frame them to give as gifts!

Here are a few more projects using the Work of Art stamp set (134111).

And that's it! Do you have the Work of Art stamp set? Leave a comment below with your answer and tell me which of these is your favorite card.

Thanks for visiting.  Make it a great and crafty day!
