Stampin' Blends Background Technique

Hello!

I have a fun card to share with you today featuring a Stampin' Blends background technique.  If you don't already know, Stampin' Blends are the Stampin' Up! version of alcohol markers and they are fantastic!  They really make you feel like an artist!  We card makers are artists anyway but the Stampin' Blends help take coloring up a notch. In this card I used the dark and light Calypso Coral and the dark and light Daffodil Delight markers.

I have been inspired the last few days as I've seen other card makers out there using this simple but stunning technique. Here's a little video of how I did the background.

Here is the finished card using the Paisleys and Posies stamp set.

Did you know you can color your pearls, rhinestones and epoxy shapes with the Blends?  I love that!

To order your own Stampin' Blends, visit my shop where we're also having an Online Extravaganza!

....two months later....but a SUPER cool announcement!

Hello!

Well, I'm back did you miss me? LOL.  Not the once a week that I thought I was going to do.  There's always room for improvement though right?

BUT I had had had to put up a post today.  I went to OnStage this year.  That's a Stampin' Up! convention for all Demonstrators and we see new product, make cards and hear special announcements.

The BEST announcement from OnStage this year was the unveiling of the Stamparatus! Oh my heck I'm SO excited for this tool!  If you know what the Misti is then you'll have an idea of what the Stamparatus is.  However.....the Stamparatus is so. much. better!

Stampin' Up! is trying a new ordering system for this tool to prevent backorders and frustration.  You'll have a chance to reserve one on the following 3 dates:

November 16-30, 2017 (to ship approximately February 1, 2018);

December 5-30, 2017 (to ship approximately March 19, 2018);

January 15-30, 2018 (to ship approximately April 15, 2018).

You'll be required to put your credit card information in but won't be charged until your Stamparatus ships!

Make sure you watch cute Carrie's video for all it's cool features!

Check my Facebook page for the reservation link on Thursday morning! Let me know if you have any other questions!
